T.E.A.M work

Together Everyone Achieves More.  T.E.A.M. That was the acronym the Grade 3s learned today as we embarked on a team building challenge. Students had only 8 minutes to complete the challenge which was to rearrange a set of 6 plastic cups into a pyramid shape.

Students needed to work as a team to build the pyramid structure. But there was one catch: you aren’t allowed to use your hands to touch the cups! Using an elastic band and some string, students eventually figured out how to manipulate the cups to move them into position.

A very valuable debrief revealed just how powerful teamwork is and why it will be important this year and every year! We learned that communication is helpful when working together and we should use positive, encouraging words to make sure everyone is involved.
