We’re Off and Running

It’s the first day of Autumn, one of my favourite seasons and we’re off to a great start to our grade 3 school year. It seems the students have settled nicely into their new ‘home’ and they seem comfortable in this new normal. I am so impressed how quickly they’ve learned the new procedures and protocols.

We have celebrated Dot Day and are getting into the rhythm of our school day routines. We love to listen to music sometimes while we work and most of us like to dance and play fun games throughout the week. So far “Advanced Simon Says” is a fan favourite.

I am so pleased to see all students working hard to meet and exceed expectations that are set out before them.

We are digging into our math unit in representing numbers, learning how to choose just-right books, learning how to keep our notes organized and neat, having great discussions about prayer, and so much more.

Stay tuned for more posts about our learning 🙂

Oh, Jake! I love your enthusiasm for this book series!! When I visit Costco next, I’ll be sure to buy it and add it to our class library 🙂
