Our Class is a Family

The last 3 days we’ve enjoyed getting to know one another and working together on various challenges that involve collaboration and team work. We learned that TEAM means Together Everyone Achieves More and we have been doing a great job so far on teamwork.

We’ve started to pay attention to how people around us are helpful or kind. We are encouraged to give a shout out stating what someone said or did that deserves recognition. This is our shout out board that we’ve started on…

Today we began to learn how to engage with our school Chromebooks. We learned what a blog is and how we will use our blog to share our learning with others near….and far! We want to extend our classroom outside our 4 walls so our blog is the venue to do that. We also learned that the word blog comes from web + log.

This is our classroom library and we know there are over 500 books in it! We are learning how to choose “just right” books. We also know that we are asked to read at least 20 minutes a day at HOME so that we can become stronger readers. Next week we will make our own special bookmarks!

Have a fantastic weekend and we’ll see you on Monday, ready to learn.

Hugs,

Mrs. Sullivan

Hi Mrs Sullivan, Alexis and Mom here. Alexis is excited to be in your Grade 3 class. She loves to read and is excited to begin her “The mystery of the hidden house” by Enid Blyton.
