We Have Much to be Thankful For

On Friday, our class enjoyed a wonderful celebration of thanks. We invited our parents and other family members to join us in giving thanks for all that we have.

gratitudeWe began our celebration in prayer and song and ended with breaking bread together. In our prayers of the faithful, we made sure to offer our gratitude for our secretaries, principals, doctors, nurses, parents, and the many others who work hard to make life healthy, happy, and safe for us. We also made sure to pray for those who would not be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with their families because of war or other reasons.

There were lots of delicious foods that were shared including pastas, cheese and crackers, brownies, and meatballs. Nobody left hunger, that’s for sure!

Thank you to everyone for helping to make this celebration possible: the students, parents, and Miss De Bellis. Thank you to those students who personally created the invitations to many of our staff members who may not often get the opportunity to join in on classroom events. They appreciated the invites very much!

Lastly, all of the canned goods that were collected from our class and the entire school were very much appreciated by our community. This will help to feed those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

In the afternoon, the students each wrote their own prayer of Thanksgiving and it is my hope they get the chance to share those wonderful words of thanks with those around the table this weekend.

Have a beautiful weekend filled with family and joy.

Mrs. Sullivan
