Halloween’s Here!

The students in our class have been busy the last few days carving pumpkins, getting ready for Halloween. On Friday, we had our first reading marathon and spent a good part of the morning reading in the dark with our flashlights, glowing bracelets, pillows, teddy bears, and blankets.

The students in grades 4-8 chose one pumpkin from their class and it was voted upon by the primary classes Friday afternoon. At the end of the day, it was announced that our class came in 2nd place! The pumpkin was carved by Heather and Kate. Congratulations! In fact, I found out that we were just 1 vote away from being tied with first place! It was very close.

Happy Halloween everyone!

Halloween was fun. I loved the music in the video, it was scary. I did not like the feel of the pumpkin guts but Sam did. Thank you Ms. S for all of the hard work. Ben and Sam.

    Hi everyone!
Halloween this year was terrific! I was surprised, but not too surprised to see we were 1 vote away from tying for the pumpkin… Kate and Heather did a really good job on Jack Skellington! I just saw the movie a couple of nights ago, and I really loved it! The whole movie was stop motion, and if you don’t know what that means, basically the way they made it was everything was entirely clay, and what they’d do is they’d move them just slightly, then take a photo, and repeat. It would take around 2000-3000 pictures to make the first 10 seconds, and it’s 2 hours long, total! Pretty neat!

Have you seen the movie? What were your thoughts?

    Your friend,
    Steph
