Hey guys you should have been at our school because Dave Conelly came. He is a professional NASCAR racer. He taught us all about the professional clothing that he has to wear when driving on the race track. He said it gets soooo hot inside the car that he can’t even breathe the air inside the car. Cold air gets pumped into his helmet and cool water circulates through his specially designed t-shirt.

Finally, near the end of his 15 minute presentation we got to see him drive the car in our school playground on the pavement. He spun in circles several times while smiling and waving to us. He created a lot of smoke!! The smell of burning rubber is not great!  It was really loud and he also drifted.

Later on in the day, he was at the grocery store parking lot called Metro with our principal and vice-principal. We were selling hot dogs and juice boxes. All the money that we raised went to our school.

What a cool experience!
