Trees are Important

    Did you know that 29 800 000 trees get cut down every day around the world? Many people don’t realize how important trees are, but I’ve come to realize that people need trees to live. I believe people should stop cutting down trees because cutting down trees destroys animal habitats, if there are less trees there’s less oxygen, and finally trees are fun and a good source of exercise.

     The first reason why people should stop cutting down trees is that it destroys animal habitats. Habitats are important because they help animals get food, water, and they help them escape from predators, without them a lot of animals like foxes and monkeys would be endangered or even extinct. Think about how you would feel if somebody destroyed your house, I don’t think you would like it.

    The second reason people should stop cutting down trees is because if there are less trees there’s less oxygen. Oxygen is important because without it we would be dead. Oxygen also helps us in other ways by being able to fill tanks with oxygen to help discover new things underwater and in space they also help fire fighters save lives. Since people keep cutting down trees we lose 260 pounds of oxygen every year!

    Finally the last reason why people should stop cutting down trees is because they’re fun and a good source of exercise. There are many things you can do with a tree: you could climb up it, if the branches are low, you can hide in it, and you can build a tree house in it. While you’re playing in a tree you’re really exercising which is important because it helps prevent a variety of health problems.

Cutting down trees destroys animal habitats, if there are less trees there’s less oxygen, and they’re fun and a good source of exercise are just some reasons trees are important. Millions of trees are getting cut down every day for stuff like paper, wood and rubber. So try to help defend trees in any way you can.
